We had another presentation class today and I was not expecting to present today but we had several groups that were not ready to present but besides that fact I enjoyed watching the presentations as well as presenting mine. Mr. Schick wanted to keep my model and I said yes because I wasn't going to do anything with it. Overall I feel very good about our project and I feel happy about the fact that Mr. Schick wanted to keep our model because it makes me think that we did good on it. That's all that happened today.

3/28/19
Today was only a 45 minute class but was also a very fun class. Our projects were due in today and we got ours in safely as well as everyone else's. we were supposed to get in 5 projects today according to the board but we only squeezed in one because of all the setup time and people had to go grab their stuff. But the one project that we watched was by Olivia's group and it was very entertaining and funny. It was a good project but the only problem was that I noticed that Mr Schick's stopwatch had went to 15 minutes and he wanted the maximum time to go to 10 minutes. and because we only had one presentation today, me and my partner might have to present Tuesday because we won't have class on Monday. I only want to watch other people's projects and not present ours but I don't really have a choice. One of the best classes with Mr. Schick this year

We were supposed to be working on our projects because Mr Schick wasn't here today, but my partner didn't come to school today so that's not good. I'm gonna have to tell him what we have to do tonight. All I have to do is the creative aspect of the project and he has to do the paper part of the project.Hopefully he gets it done because its due tomorrow and hopefully he comes to school tomorrow. So basically all I did during this class period was research the Battle of Thermopylae to make sure I know the information to present but I might make flash cards just in case I forget what to say.

Today wasn't a learning day but it was rather another day of project prep but we couldn't do much, We are doing majority of our project at home because we really can't bring in anything until the day the project is due which is now Thursday which is clutch because I forgot to get something from the store Sunday. So yeah we just kind of talked this class and discussed what we need to present. Not much went on in class today.

3/22/19
Today was test day and this test determines wether or not I get a B or a C in this class. I took the test and I felt pretty good as I was taking it but there were like 4 that I was questionable on and after the test when we were going over it I realized that I had gotten couple wrong. But at least this test isn't like the others when if you got two wrong then you'd be down to a B. I could've gotten 4 wrong on this test and gotten an A which is hopefully what I got. I also have to worry about this project that I am hoping to work on this week because I want to start off my quarter 4 western civ grade with an A and this is a 200 point project so its not a joke.

3/21/19
Today we finished the whole Greek powerpoint. These last few slides were all on Ancient Greek philosophers and we had a lot of random conversations that I wasn't really listening to but other than that we also went through the whole powerpoint and discussed what would be on our test tomorrow. I feel as if I will do very well on the test and hopefully it will bring my grade up a bunch of points because I need to get a B in this class. I am currently studying very hard for it and will continue to until the test is here.

3/19/19
Today we started off by loading up the powerpoint and that lasted the rest of the class and then he ave us the final minutes of class to get our blog wrapped up. We talked a lot about the Greek warfare today and their navy. We mentioned the Battle of Thermopylae which is what my ancient Greece project is on. We also talked how they looked at battle and the reason they dress red; they dress red to hide their battle wounds and blood. They also drive battle ram like ships that carry 170 people on one. We also talked about some of the Gods and Goddesses and what each of them was responsible of. The main God is Zeus and he was the ruler of all the main parts of their society. We talked about the interesting parts of the Greece today.

3/18/19
Today we thought about when we should work on out projects. We decided that we should work on them today and me and my partner thought that our original project was too complicated so we decided to change it. Our original plan was to do warfare and symbols but now we thought it would be way easier to do the Battle of Thermopylae because we found it easier to do a 3D model instead of cardboard shields. I like this idea better because I have done these type of projects before and I have gotten good grades on them. So hopefully we get this done in time because I would really appreciate getting my c up to a b.

Today we started off by talking about the big Western Civ project on Ancient Greece. I did not want this project to happen because now it creates a lot of stress because I also have a lot of english assignments to worry about. we were allowed to work with someone or multiple people which helped me feel better because I am not a fan of presenting in front of a whole class. I decided to work with Colin and we started discussing what we would have our topic be. We looked around the room and saw two ancient Greek shields and immediately took interest. We decided to take part in this idea and we found this picture that showed most of the symbols of the city states in Greece. We would find cardboard and spray paint these shields to make them look like the cities shields. We would then research each city state and tell the class about each of them.

Class today was exactly like last class besides the fact that I was really tired so it made it way more painful. I don't know what else to blog about, I could put my notes in here but I find it pointless to put notes in my blog because I already took notes in my copybook and I would much rather refer to them. But yet again all we did was take notes on the Greece Powerpoint and talked more about Greek Rulers and Greek government.

Today was another note taking day in western civ and all of the slides that we went over I had already written down from the previous class when he let us take notes. So not much went on today, we had a lot of conversation and had some interesting topics and it involved a lot of us talking instead of Mr. Schick. We talked about our government today compared to what it was like back then, we also talked about the different laws and also talked a little bit about Homer. That's pretty much all that we did today.

We didn't really do anything in this full 55 minute class period of western civilization. But today we started off by looking at the ancient Greece powerpoint and after we went through a couple of slides, Mr. Schick got distracted by some fellow students in the back of the classroom. He got a little mad because all teachers get mad when other students are talking. He then shut off the powerpoint and told us to take our own notes in the textbook on pages 127-133. But I decided to stick to the powerpoint because I find it to be more reliable as to what I will find on the test. Another note taking class and I am going to have to study for the ancient Greece test if I want to get my grade up to a B.

Not much to blog about today because we were short on time and we only did one thing in class. We continued our discussion on Ancient Greece and we went further into the powerpoint getting to the little details and more important topics on Greece. We talked about the Trojan War and about famous Tree figures that are still talked about today. The Trojan War is still a mystery and there is still no solid proof that it happened. We also talked about Homer and wether he was a myth or not. Homer wrote the Iliad and the Odyssey which are stories on the Trojan War but the fact they could both be myths makes it a mystery.

Today we had a normal 55 minute class of western civ which feels like the first in a long time. We didn't do a variety of things, rather we just take some notes on a powerpoint then take some more notes in the book. I don't like taking notes out of the book because I take notes on what he teaches us because thats the stuff that will be on the test. That's why I stuck to the powerpoint but some people switched over to the book for some reason. Hopefully this isn't a big unit on Greece (even though it's 45 slide powerpoint) because I am not a huge fan on learning about Ancient Greece. I would rather learn more about Ancient Egypt or something else because I know that the last time I learned about Greece I didn't not enjoy it. But who knows, maybe this Greece unit won't be as bad.

Today our class felt very short because we were running on a two hour delay bell. We took our test on ancient Egypt and I feel like I actually got an A on this one because I have had past experiences on Ancient Egypt and I looked over the powerpoint and worksheet multiple times. So in other words, I am trying to get my grade up in this class because I don't want it ruin my gpa. Then for the rest of the class he wanted us to get the textbook and take notes on ancient Greece and this is what I'm guessing our next quiz will be on. Not to much went on in class today.
