Today we started class off by talking about the exams. We talked about when we would take our human geo exam along with the two essays we will have to write. There will be four different topics to choose from but we only have to write two of our choice. These two essays will be due next Friday which is the last day of school before exams. We then received a packet which we would have to find the important facts out of and then put them in our blog. Here are some of the points I got. The U.N. classifies countries according to four types of immigration policies: 1. maintain the current level of immigration 2. increase the level 3. reduce the level 4. no policy. 21 countries seek more immigrants, 32 want fewer immigrants, 116 wish to maintain then current level, 25 do not have a policy. The number of people trying to immigrate into the U.S. is at an all time high. People who enter without proper documents are known as unauthorized immigrants. Undocumented immigrants re different because they are the people who want more rights for themselves and this is the term they think is right.
