5/8/19

Obviously Rome had many declines such as when their rulers had died or they lost a war, but I don't really see the United States declining. Maybe it's just because I don't pay attention to politics, but for the most part I feel like our country has been stable and running well for a long time. The last thing I can really declined the U.S. was 9/11 but we were only devastated for a short amount of time until we built back up the damage that was done and bounced back to a great country. But Rome on the other hand had a lot of devastating moments that started to decline their empire. There are a lot of different viewpoints and reasoning as to why the Roman Empire fell. It could've been that the Empire was just too big. The Romans had built up so much to the point where they couldn't take care of all of it anymore and having all of this land and having this empire was a reason as to why they started to fall. Another reason is that their military power was getting weaker and weaker. Back then if you did not have a strong military you were viewed as an easy target and this is another reason why they fell. Another reason it could've fell is simply because it outgrew itself. Rome can't be the same old Rome forever and it eventually turned to something bigger and greater, The Medieval Times.
